Zoe & Andy’s wedding, in the gorgeous Lincolnshire countryside, was a chilled, relaxed country wedding. Taking place in the tiny village of Raithby, near Spilsby, their wedding was a small, intimate affair. A wedding that was based around about a couple very much in love. The aim of the day was celebrating that love with their friends and families.
Constantly checking phones for updates, the weather gods predicted a day of showers for Lincolnshire. The unpredictability of the weather added to the nerves and excitement, with frequent weather becoming a feature of the morning. Luckily, the rain gods smiled down on the couple and it only rained twice. The first time was whilst the bride was getting ready. This rain brought some added nerves to the brides preparation. Nerves quickly replaced by smiles as the rain disappeared and the sun made its first appearance. The only other time the rain arrived was during the ceremony, with the summer sun took centre stage again though as the newly married couple left the church. Surely, this is the way all wedding day weather should be?
After the ceremony the day moved to the former village school, now village hall. The afternoon starter off with the groom and his groomsmen providing the musical entertainment. Their cover of David Bowie, which in our opinion, no wedding is complete without, started the party on the right foot.
Drinks flowed, food was devoured and speeches were delivered, the latter being met with laughter and tears. We snuck off with the newlyweds to shoot some portraits in the beautiful surroundings and when we returned the party started. Dancing, fun and laughter filled the room. Heels rapidly kicked off and the dance-floor kicked into high gear. Photographing A Lincolnshire wedding should not be this much fun.
A massive thanks to Zoe & Andy for choosing us to capture your wedding. We wish you many years of love and laughter.
