shorter coverage for intimate weddings

Small in size

massive on memories

Micro weddings (& micro wedding photography) became popular during the pandemic. However, it is definitely a trend that is here to stay and I am a massive fan!

Don’t get me wrong, I love a big wedding. But, there is something about a small wedding, with only your nearest and dearest, that is so romantic.

Intimate Weddings

Some wedding photographers only offer their micro wedding photography coverage during certain months. 166 Photography offers you beautiful, intimate wedding photography all year round.

Your photos will be as amazing as those from my larger weddings. Plus, you’ll get the same level of service, in a smaller, boutique size.

Micro Wedding FAQ

According to Brides Magazine, a micro wedding is an intimate affair, typically with no more than 50 guests. They still feature time-honored traditions that make a wedding but on a much smaller scale.

From wanting to spend more time with your guests, reducing the anxiety of exchanging your vows in front of lots of people, or simply wanting to stick to a budget. There are many reasons couples are now choosing intimate weddings. For more, see my top 5 reasons why micro weddings are amazing blog post.

Reducing the guest list down is one thing couples find hard with small, intimate weddings. However, that isn’t to say you can’t celebrate with everyone after your wedding day. In fact, hosting a celebration party is a great way to get over the post-wedding blues.

Elopements are common. There are so many amazing places in the UK and around the world to elope to for your wedding day. It’s all about doing what’s right for you.

This is definitely something I can do. Just be mindful that any time traveling will eat into your photography coverage. My advice is to try to have this session at a location near your ceremony. If you need help finding the perfect spot, let me know, I have a little black book of secret locations.

The dominant opinion in the wedding world is that a micro wedding is similar in style to a traditional wedding, just with a smaller guest list.

Elopements are a wedding where you go to a destination, whether in the UK or abroad, with a very small number of family/friends. Elopements in the UK aren’t just about running away to Gretna Green. You can take a wild adventure up a mountain, or keep it chilled on a quiet beach at sunset. At the end of the day, it is all about your wedding, your way, with those you hold dear.

I am happy to travel anywhere in the UK. Please note, there is a charge of 45p per mile for weddings over 40 miles from Horncastle.
